It's reported that AK Steel announced to raise its base prices for all 200, 300 and 400 grades flat-rolled stainless steel products, effective with shipments on May 6th, 2013.
It's known that the company will increase the base prices by reducing the functional discount of two percentage points for cold rolled and hot rolled non-automotive exhaust products.
Meanwhile, the base prices for automotive exhaust grades will rise by US$0.03/lb. and the increase will become effective on June 3th, 2013.
